Vanishing Veggies? Start you own garden!

Ever wanted to taste a tomatoe that was eaten during the Revolution War Times? Who would have known that the tomatoes we eat today aren't even from the same seeds. Those seeds are extinct!
Do they taste different?
Let's order seeds from one of the seed exchanges, and see how they taste. Keep me posted, and I will do the same.
Save the Seeds!Three things you can do to help preserve endangered fruits and veggies:
1. Donate. Give to Seed Savers Exchange (seedsavers.org), a nonprofit dedicated to saving rare produce, or join the organization to receive discounted seeds.
2. Plant. Purchase seeds from Seed Savers Exchange or websites such as rareseeds.com, heirloomseeds.com, or heritageharvestseed.com to grow in your garden.
3. Discuss. Chat with gardeners about heirloom produce via online forums such as idigmygarden.com. Link
also, click on the title, to ready the story in it's entirity.
